General Information

Calabria is at the toe of the boot of Italy - lapped by the beautiful crystal blue Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas and separated from Sicily by the Strait of Messina. This sun-baked region of rugged mountains, old-fashioned villages and dramatic coastline, is only made even more attractive by golden sandy beaches.

Rich in history, it is home to the Museo Archeologico Nazionale and its Riace Bronzes, a famous pair of Greek warriors dating back to the 5th-century BC.
